Hey guys! It’s Aspen, and today I’m back with a (somewhat) entertaining post about the most awkward DVD’s that I found at my local library this past Thursday afternoon, excluding the 90’s foreign film covers and cheesy horror movie titles. Let me know in the comments if you have heard of these movies, or let alone seen them in the comments down below!
The first little gem that I found came straight from the Children’s section, affectionately titled “Thunderpants”. Starring Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley from Harry Potter), this 2002 American picture is a story about a boy’s extreme gift for flatulence that lands him as a job as an astronaut. In an odd way, I’m kind of mad at myself that I didn’t end up grabbing it, grabbing “Elf” instead. Damn it Aspen.
Also found in the Children’s section came another ridiculously awkward/funny movie title, “Weiner Dog Nationals”. This movie is exactly what it sounds like: a dachshund that enters and wins the Wiener Dog Nationals. The most cringe-worthy component of this film is the catch-phrase: “And the wiener is…”. Now maybe it’s just my messed-up teenager mind taking over, but this movie was enough to make me immaturely giggle in a very quiet, well-kept library.
This next movie, I don’t actually really know what it’s about, the cover was enough to get me chucklin’. This film stars Chuck Norris as a spiritual man who can transform into an eagle, bear, or wolf, defending his woods from an evil gang of lumberjacks. The movie that I’m talking about is Forest Warrior, and I don’t know much about this movie, so it could possibly be total brilliance, but as I said before, the picture was enough to make me smile.
Let me know in the comments if you have seen any of these movies and what you think of them!
Have a beautiful night:) – Aspen
